tomorrow (6/2/26) the older young women’s class (high school age) have decided to cancel their activity due to finals. Hopefully this gives the girls enough time to study and prepare for their exams. Good luck to everyone this week! The younger young women’s class have decided to have a bone fire night at Sister Lowe’s house (2401 N Stark Rd Midland 48642). Drop off at 7, pick up at 8:30. Bring a favorite bonfire snack to share (OPTIONAL).
June 14 (Sunday):
10:00 (before church)- YW Youth Presidency Meeting
1:15 (after church)- Food and Family History with Sister Hales and Sister Flint to gather names before our youth temple trip.
***Don’t forget to keep up with the summer read-a-thon. This week’s readings is the “God Wants to Comminicate with You”. Found in the For Strength of Youth Guide.
***Along with this year’s theme, “Walk with Me,” there are smaller monthly challenges that we discuss each Sunday with the girls. However, with the shortened meetings coming up we may not touch on them during class so we thought it might be a good idea to email out the challenges so you can discuss them at home together. For the month of June the challenge is, “Walk in Joy.” Here are some ideas of how to do that….Make a playlist of songs that lift your spirits.Spend time outside and thank God for His creations through sincere prayer.Do something creative that brings you happiness. Share it with someone.Help someone else find joy when they are sad.Write about your experience in your journal.Create your own challenge this month."Men are, that they might have joy."2 NEPHI 2:25
***Also, a reminder to parents to subscribe to the church magazines especially the For Strength of Youth magazine as this will be a big part of the new youth curriculum starting in September. (Go to lds.org, sign in, and look up magazine subscriptions)
***Don’t forget to register your daughter for girls camp. An email from the stake should have been sent out with instructions on how to register and pay. If anyone needs help getting their girl to camp please contact Sister Cox ASAP!
***Looking ahead! Mark your calendars for the next youth temple trip. It will June 26. Meet at the church at 4 pm.
